Beanballs cause two bench-clearing brawls and 11 ejections during a 14-6 victory by the Chicago White Sox over detroit at Comiskey Park. The chin music starts in the sixth inning, continues in the seventh with the first melee and erupts again in the ninth when two Tigers are hit by pitches in an eight-run game, precipitating a full-scale donnybrook. Somewhat lost in the mayhem is a career day for Chris Singleton of the ChiSox, who goes five-for-five with five RBIs.
