“A small gem bristling with insight.”—The Washington Post
Armstrong has become a leading authority on religion. A former nun, she has written on many faiths including Christianity, Buddhism, and Islam. This book is an excellent introduction to a religion much discussed, but still little understood. Armstrong explains Muhammad’s revelation that launched the new religion, how it swept the world, and how it is observed today in its many forms.
