Apckrfan's Must Watch TV

So, the 2006-07 season is behind us. I thought I'd touch on the shows that I watched (and a few that I dumped).

Drive - I loved this show, even if I only got to see 4 episodes. Another FOX show that got staked way before it should have. It makes me wonder why Tim Minear and Nathan Fillion even want to work with them anymore. Supposedly, the two unaired, already filmed episodes will be shown this summer. I'll believe it when I see it.

Heroes - I can't say enough how much I love this show. There isn't a character in the ensemble I'm not interested in. I may not LIKE all of them, but I'm still interested. Well written, in depth story, answers revealed yet still leaving room for more stories.

Veronica Mars - many didn't care for Season 3, but I didn't mind it and still felt it was some of the best TV out there. Sadly, it's been canceled. There've been articles going around about a possible movie and/or comics, so it may not be staked yet.

Friday Night Lights - As much as I loved Heroes, I think I loved Friday Night Lights more. It helps, of course, that Kyle Chandler is in it and I love him. It's a great show. Like Heroes, there isn't a character I'm not interested in, even if I don't like them all. Myself and others have maintained that Keith Mars from Veronica Mars is one of the best TV fathers out there. I think the Taylor's are pretty awesome, too.

Bones - I was afraid to get attached to this, because it's a FOX show. I watched sporadically during Season 1, caught up when the DVD set came out and haven't missed an episode since. I love seeing David Boreanaz doing something other than Angel and I enjoy the rest of the characters.

Lost - This is one that got dropped. I just couldn't stand having questions and questions and questions piled on ten layers thick without any answers, or no concrete answers anyway. I've heard it did get better when it returned from its winter break hiatus, but it lost a viewer. I'm not even sure I'll watch the DVD sets to catch up.

Ugly Betty - This one started out strong and as one of my favorites of the season, but it faded somewhat. I thought it ended on stronger, but felt the sagging middle really sagged. I almost stopped watching a couple of times. I really enjoy the characters and the humor, but feel that they reveal things too soon instead of stretching some things out.

CSI: Crime Scene Investigation - I'm still watching the original. I don't watch the two spin-offs. The Grissom / Sarah thing creeped me out, but not enough to take me away.

Shark - James Woods. Need I say more? Love the man, love having him in my living room every week.

Psych - My guilty pleasure. A great show, a great cast, funny yet touching at the same time.

October Road - A Friday Night Lights fan I met over at LiveJournal liked this show so I gave it a whirl. It conflicted with SHARK, but I was able to catch it on ABC.com. I really enjoyed it, and was relieved to hear it got picked up.

Medium - I was scattered about watching during Season 2, because it was on opposite Monday Night Football and football will always win. I did watch all of Season 3, though, and was able to catch up with Season 2 through Netflix. I'm excited to see how things progress for Allison and the DA next season in light of how Season 3 ended.

Grey's Anatomy - I hadn't watched this one, but thanks to Netflix and iTunes I am now addicted and current on this show. I really enjoy it. I'm not all that crazy about McDreamy, I liked Finn a lot :-( I'm not sure what I'll do next season, CSI or Grey's. We'll see. I'm also interested in seeing the spin-off, Private Practice - I love Taye Diggs (was so sad to see Kevin Hill canceled) and Tim Daly is yummy too.

House - Between Netflix and iTunes, I hope to be current with this one by the beginning of the fall season. Another one I didn't start to watch, but I'm addicted to it now.

Supernatural - I just enjoy this show for what it is.

Army Wives - Lifetime's new series is enjoyable to watch. It's fun to see the different personalities and how they interact.

I'm a season behind on The Shield and The Sopranos.

Returning this summer: The 4400, The Dead Zone, and The Closer.

I still catch Law & Order (all 3 of them) when I can, but I'm not religious about them anymore.

Shows I'm looking forward to this next season: Private Practice, The Sarah Connor Chronicles
