YOUNG AND NOT SO YOUNG LOVE
If you haven’t OD’d on Valentine’s Day, try this classic love story about perennial love. Vince and Joy were each other’s first kiss, first love, first hit to third base—well, you get the idea. Separated by time and distance and a good-bye note that Vince couldn’t read because the rain washed away the writing, the two have met again after almost 20 years. The attraction is still irresistible, but what of Joy’s pending marriage and Vince’s child by another woman?

ON THE JOB
WHAT DID THESE GREAT WRITERS DO TO PRODUCE THEIR MASTERPIECES?
• Marcel Proust (Remembrance of Things Past) wrote in a cork-lined room.
• Truman Capote (In Cold Blood) wrote while lying down.
• T. S. Eliot (“The Waste Land”) believed he was more creative when he had a cold.
• Colette (Gigi) picked fleas from her cat to focus her mind.
• D. H. Lawrence (Lady Chatterley’s Lover) liked to get the creative juices flowing by climbing naked up mulberry trees.

GLOBAL INTELLIGENCE
See the answer tomorrow.
Q: True or False? Santiago Calatrava introduced distinguished modern architecture to the Milwaukee Art Museum in Wisconsin when his glass-walled reception hall was added in 2001.

Answer: False. Calatrava’s work was added to a museum already known for fine architecture, with existing buildings by Eero Saarinen and David Kahler.
