11 Great West Players Earn ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Honors



Kole Heckendorf was one of four NDSU players to land a spot on the CoSIDA Academic All-District VII first team. All four advance to the national ballot.

North Dakota State University placed four student-athletes -- wide receiver Kole Heckendorf, wide receiver Ryan Parsons, running back Tyler Roehl and defensive back Sam Boraas -- on the 2007 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District® VII Football first team selected by members of CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America). Heckendorf was a second team all-district pick in 2006. All four advance to the national ballot.

Heckendorf, a junior from Mosinee, Wis., maintains a 3.82 grade point average in physical education and health; Parsons, a junior from Ham Lake, Minn., has a 3.90 GPA in history; Roehl, a junior from West Fargo, N.D., carries a 3.23 GPA in physical education, and Boraas, senior from Zumbrota, Minn., maintains a 3.95 grade point average in mechanical engineering.

Thirteen North Dakota State football players have earned CoSIDA Academic All-America honors in the program's history including strong safety Craig Dahl in 2006.
