Nora Blackbird goes from riches to rags when her parents leave town and leave her with a punishing tax bill. What’s a Philly socialite to do? She gets herself a job as a society scribbler at the local paper. When she finds a local millionaire (and family friend) murdered at his own party, she soon becomes a society sleuth. Zany complications and romance make this first in the Blackbird Sisters series a breezy, escapist chick lit romp. “Great clothes, great mystery, great fun!” says fellow chick lit author Jennifer Crusie.
